Record
At Home And Save
So you want a lot of recording and producing capability
and you want easy set up and easy usage and you want bells and whistles
like loops and virtual instruments and you even want show me how videos
- all of the this and more.
And maybe more importantly you don't want to spend $750+,
$500 even, are even scared off by $199 so how about all of the above
goodies and more for less than $100.
If less than $100 is in your ball park then great and
even if money is no object I'll think you'll be impressed at the value
of the program we're about to light up - Acoustica's
Mixcraft.
Along with continuing to earn great reviews Acoustica's
Mixcraft 5 now has created a nice set of video
tutorials and has added a series of Video
Mini Tips.

And since we rolled Mixcraft onto the site a couple of
years ago it's been made more robust and continued to get raves.
Indeed less than a year ago, in regard to the newly minted
version 5, in October, 2010 Recording Magazine said "This new version
blurs the distinction between 'entry-level' and 'full-featured' DAWs."
And in May, 2010 EQ Magazine said "Mixcraft is an overachiever.".
And Music Tech Magazine also chimed in in May, 2010 and pronounced that
Mixcraft was "Packed with a staggering array of features."
Okay, so enough with the well deserved accolades, what's
under the hood? Well lets take a look at some of its top features and
their benefits to your writing and recording - a feature for each note
on the scale to be a bit musical about it.
A. Version
5 is a complete overhaul with much improved graphics and
visual effects for a crisp, professional look making it easier to view.
And the ability to even edit your own music video was added. Here's
a screen shot.

B. Mixcraft has a custom
loop library with 3000+ royalty-free sounds in many, many musical
styles.
Loops can be repeated over and over again for as long
of a section of your song as you need and in general they're tempo and
key accommodating. So if your song is in the key of C at 60 bpm then
your loop will adjust to that automatically.
And Version 5 added 1000+ new loops from Surf Rock to
Reggae.
C. Add more loops by importing
from Acid™ and Apple's Garage Band™. You'll likely never get looped
out with all these loops.
D. You
get Acoustica's Instruments General MIDI sample library and the Acoustica
Expanded Instruments sample library along with everything from classic
virtual instrument renditions of Lounge Lizard Session
vintage electric piano to the Impulse polyphonic analog synthesizer.
You can literally "play" each instrument on
your computer and get to record them of course.
E. Enjoy
easy set up and saving of mega presets with certain effects
that you can apply to your tracks for a certain consistent type of sound.
Saves you from starting from scratch every time.
F. Record multiple MIDI and
audio tracks simultaneously. Like your vocal, some virtual instruments
and loops all at once with no strain on the program.
G. Mix all of your tracks
down to MP3, WAV, high-quality compressed OGG, and other audio
file types.
For example with the fast mixdown to MP3 quickly send
off the mix to your player and or the web or email it to your collaborator.
