Special Editor's Note - Regarding The Ongoing Need For Flood Recovery
Help In Nashville:
As you may well be aware or perhaps have lost in the shuffle with the
oil spill news, etc. there is still an ongoing need to help our songwriting
family and indeed the entire Nashville and environs family recover from
the devastating floods that hit there not too long ago, earlier just this
month in fact - remember the floods?
I've been in touch with my song coaches and mentors there, Pete and Pat
Luboff, and fortunately they were spared direct impact on their home but
have felt the pain that their community is going through and are helping
out. They suggested a good central site to find out more and to see the
opportunities for us to help were at a posting by Danny Arena of SongU
- click
here.
Please join me in helping however you can and wishing all a speedy recovery.
Regular Editor's Note:
If you happened to see the movie Throw Momma From The Train you may remember
the line "A writer writes, always." - a great comedic film I've
always thought and a great line on writing.
Thankfully, I've been able to keep the distractions and intrusions enough
at bay the past few weeks such that I finished up some lingering projects
and am on to new material again - if you're interested you can take gander
at Broadjam.com/RobCurtis.
How 'bout you, did you you have good writing month? If not, here's to
June being a hot month for your writing. And just to point out again,
host up to three of your songs free and indefinitely at Broadjam.
And speaking of performing your own songs it can be really helpful to
have an instrument along to accompany you, like a keyboard or a guitar.
And since this is guitar month at the newsletter were going to spotlight
a great video based learning system that you can get via internet with
plenty of free stuff to jump-start your playing.
We've featured it before but in case you missed it or are just now ready
to take a closer look we'll delve into it again in the article below.
Read on to get the latest on this e-program and the new freebie tip report
to smooth the way.
